Hip Hip Hoooray!
I just wanted to let the world know that another one of my dearest friends has joined the blogging world!! Yippeeee! Some of our friends, the Brenays, whom we love to death, left us a few years ago . . . sniff, sniff . . . and moved to Arizona. Well, I stink at keeping in contact but Erica keeps me on my toes. I am so glad that they have a blog now so that I can see all of their happenings! Go over and say "hi" at Brenay, Blah, Blah . . . (btw, I love the name . . . it is so you!) They are an awesome family! Welcome to the bloggin world!

Calling all Women!!

I am so excited about a project that my friend Leilani, over at My Many Colored Days is working on. It is called "Woman to Woman" and it is going to be a forum for woman of all ages to participate in. Leilani and a fellow blogger friend from Seeds From My Garden came up with the idea together. They have become friends even though they are at different stages in their lives. I really believe that this is one benefit to blogging as we get to meet and befriend many women from different stages of life, different backgrounds, cultures, values, and so on! I have learned to much from my blogging buddies!
In carrying on with this theme, Lei and Morning Glory are going to start a forum in which women from all walks and stages of life can share their input on various subjects. One thing that I know is that women have A LOT to talk about so - let's all get together and start talking!! LOL! (This means you lurkers too who never post . . . Laura! :)
For more information, you can go to Lei's post read more about it. I hope to see you all there!

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy
Our package from Australia has arrived!!! (Actually, it came last week and I have been slow to post!) Shannon did an awesome job making the boys some homemade treasures and filling the package with lots of cool treats! The boys were so excited to open the box that Myles opened it before I could get my camera ready! (Sterling also forgot to mention to me that the package had arrived until right before it was bedtime!)

Shannon made both of the boys adorable library totes! Asher thought that it was so cool that his had an "A" on it! Inside, there were books, games, Aunty Cookie iron ons, and more!

Myles was given homemade sewing cards with pictures that Shannon had drawn, laminated, and then threaded with shoelace and beads. SUCH a great idea!! Asher even wanted to play with them!

Shannon also made a game of "Flip/Flop" (which I think is a card matching game . . .unless I am totally wrong! LOL!) for Asher. Again, such a great idea!!! She drew all of the cute pictures herself and laminated them! The boys LOVE it!

Here are some of the goodies that came for us. Shannon included a homemade CD, some AWESOME fabric for me (*big smile*), a book that she illustrated, a freezer stencil kit, some vintage ( I mean, really cool, like how could she part with them!!) cookie cutters, oh the list goes on and on!
The boys loved everything so much that they went to bed with their bags . . . filled with all of the goodies! I had to go in after they were asleep and move them off of their pillows.

The next morning, we got up bright and early to go to the dreaded dentist! It was so cute though because when the boys got ready to go, they packed up their new totes and brought them with them. I think that it even helped them get over some of their apprehension!
Thank you so much Shannon and Lola! :)

Hello?
Brown Bag Book for my friend Teryl

Hello my long lost friends!! I have missed my little blogging world so much! I am suchhhh a slacker . . . I feel so bad that I have not posted or visited any of your blogs for so long. It is almost like when you forget to return a phone call. The appropriate time to call gets further and further away . . . until you just feel like a loser friend. I almost considered not posting anymore . . . because there is just so much to catch up on. (I have this all or nothing complex. ) But I am grateful for some messages from a couple of you . . . so, I am recommitted to not slacking!! I just know that there has been so much going on for all of you . . . I hope that everyone is doing well and having a great summer!
We have been busy here. Asher is keeping me on my toes now that he is home from school more. He always wants to go outside and play, or go here, and go there!! Sheesh, he has more of a social life then I do!! :) He is so dark too! I just worry that he is going to get skin cancer some day! On the other hand, there is our little albino, Myles. He turned one on June 13th! I cannot believe how fast the year went by! He is still not walking . . . and he still has NO teeth but I can wait.
He has been so patient with us this summer as we have worked on the yard. He has been strapped into his stroller a lot of the time because he just gets into everything! I am going to have to post a picture of our back yard. FINALLY, after living in this house for almost 4 years . . . we have finished our backyard!!!!! It took some pretty strong threats but I convinced Sterling that it was necessary. Now I feel like I can actually have a BBQ and invite some friends over. Do you all want to come!!?? :)
I have also been working on some designs for digital scrapbooking kits. Yes, I am hooked. I am going to open up a webpage with a store . . . going to try my hand as a designer. I am realizing though that it takes a TON of effort to get a website up and going . . . let alone creating the content for it. I might have to get some opinions from you guys when the time comes.
Also, as if I haven't been busy enough, I have started getting into these Artist Trading Cards. Kind of random, I know, but very cool. There is a group of about 30 of us that signed up on another blog a while back. What you do is create these little works of art (2.5 x 3.5 inches) and mail them to each other. It is so cool to see what everyone does . . . although I have to admit that I haven't actually received any in the mail yet!! I have made some though . . . so fun just to create.
I also tried my hand at traditional scrapbooking which I have never been very good at. I made these little brown paper bag books (as you can see in the picture above) with my friend. It was sooooo fun!!! . . . not to mention easy and cheap! We made the one in the picture for another friend of ours as a birthday gift. We put all of these quotes and things that we liked about her in it . . . along with pics of us together. I think that she liked it. Soooo, if any of you need an easy gift idea or something fun to make with your kids, there you go. You just staple the bags together and glue random papers and scraps to the pages. Voila!! :)
Well, sorry about the long journal entry!! I hope that I have not lost you all forever!! I hope that you will still come and visit my blog! :) I also hope that you are all doing well. I am going to start the long journey of catching up on your blogs.
Talk to you all later . . . .

TIPS FROM TERYL
Dear Teryl,
Would you please tell us how we can keep our hair from looking greasy when we don't wash it?
Thank you, A Concerned Grease Head
