Grandma and Grandpa's Visit: Part 1

So much happened this October that I decided just to break it down into different entries! My parents came out from Texas to visit us. The boys were soooo excited, they love spending time with Grandma and Grandpa.

At first, my parents stayed with my little sister, Anna, who lives in Salt Lake. Myles was frustrated by this so he tried to convince them to spend the night at our house, in "Grandma's" room - our guest bedroom. My mom tried to put him off by showing him that the bed wasn't yet made up with clean sheets. Myles replied to this by offering my parents our bed. LOL! Such a generous little boy . . . the funny thing is that I don't think he would have cared if Sterling and I weren't there at all!

The visit was great. My parents have never come to visit us around this time of year - my favorite time of course . . . because my birthday falls on this month. We had a lot of festivities and traditions that they got to be a part of. It was a really special time for everyone.

One of the first things that we did together was go to Hee Haw's, a little pumpkin farm/corn maze that has various fall themed activities for the kids to participate in. It was a lot of fun. The boys got to ride on little (peddled) go carts, see a village of bunnies, visit one of the FATTEST pigs I think we have ever seen in real life, and go through a miniature corn maze. The weather was perfect too. It was a great fall evening.

Here are a few pictures from our visit to Hee Haw's.

Asher was instantly taken by the little carts that he could peddle around the course . . . I think that he has requested one of these for Christmas!!

Grandma and Owen watch patiently as Asher, and now Myles, go around the cart course . . . again!

Myles is beaming with pride because he gets to sit on a REAL tracker, like a real farmer!

Grandpa gets a little carried away in the corn pit where he buries Owen. Surprisingly, Owen doesn't really seem to mind!

Finally it is time to pick our our pumpkins!

After much much searching, Asher proudly returns with two that he has very carefully selected.

It was a great night! What made it even more special was that we could do it with family!
