Post-Surgery Boredom

I am bored . . . really bored. I am happy to report that the removal of the irksome gallbladder went off without a hitch. Lots of drugs . . . which is always nice. But alas, pain killers can only take you so far! LOL! I actually had to cut the Lortab off yesterday because I hate the way it makes me feel. So, for now it is just Ibuprofen for me.

I am pretty much confined to my bed these days as my boys don't seem to understand that they cannot pounce on mommy. So, it is out of fear that I hide in here!! Well, I go out every once in a while.

It has only been 2 whole days and I am ready to be back to normal. I finished reading Wuthering Heights (for the first time, believe it or not) yesterday. It was not the most uplifting books to be reading on your sick bed . . . although I am finding that it has made an impression on my blogging vocabulary. Okay, I will stop with the classical way of speaking!! LOL!

Anywho, just thought that I would visit blogland for a while. Isn't it interesting how when you are feeling completely healthy/ normal there are so many activities and things that you want to do. But here I am, too bored to even read or knit. I guess that I need to change my attitude. So, if anyone is out there, I would love to hear a comment . . . just to know that life it going on in the rest of the world! :)

Hey thanks for the update and glad to know that all is progressing well.

I've been through major & minor surgery so it is normal that we just wanna rest and recuperate. Take your time to recover and you'll have lots of time to catch up with your normal chores & activities Zoe.

Hugs Pal!

I'm glad to hear that you're doing well - get well soon! As sad as it sounds, I'm a little jealous that you get to recuperate. Hmm, maybe I can do some recuperating without the surgery?

I know exactly how you feel. After my surgery, I was SOO bored. I hate sitting around, but that was what I had to do for 2 weeks, and then I had to take it easy for 4 more weeks. It sucked. I hope you have a speedy recovery and that the boredom will pass.

Hey Zoe, sorry you had to get cut open but glad you're doing well. did you read wuthering heights because of Bella? I've thought about doing that but I just can't bring myself to read it.

Thank you so much you guys!! I needed the encouragment! I am slowly starting to feel better.

Lisa, I did!! I wanted to see what Meyer was talking about . . . though it didn't have my heart beating as Twilight did. It was kind of sad too. But, I guess that it is a classic . . . I don't know if I will put it up there with my favorites. :)
