It was finally nice enough for the boys and me to go outside today. It was wonderful. I think that there is something therapeutic about weeding. Seriously, I love it. Of course, it was interrupted by Myles running off down the street! I had to keep getting up to corral him in. Asher and I made some interesting discoveries. We found a little baby bird egg on the ground. After examining it closely, we decided that it was okay to pick up and inspect. It felt like there was nothing in it so we took it into the house to further examine and discuss. Of course, Sterling, being the logical husband/father that he is, gave the egg a spin and told us that there was something in it . . . a dead chick. :( I told Asher that we should probably "bury" it.
Did the Easter Bunny come early?
Also in our findings was a rock that has "silver" in it. Asher was very fascinated by this. We decided that we better take a picture of it as well. After about an hour or so of chasing Myles, I finally wised up and put him in the stroller so that I could finish my weeding. He sat there staring at me. I am convinced that he was silently planning his next escape route! It feels nice to have the flower beds weeded . . . now if I could just convince Sterling to take care of the lawn!
