Hello?

Brown Bag Book for my friend Teryl Posted by Picasa

Hello my long lost friends!! I have missed my little blogging world so much! I am suchhhh a slacker . . . I feel so bad that I have not posted or visited any of your blogs for so long. It is almost like when you forget to return a phone call. The appropriate time to call gets further and further away . . . until you just feel like a loser friend. I almost considered not posting anymore . . . because there is just so much to catch up on. (I have this all or nothing complex. ) But I am grateful for some messages from a couple of you . . . so, I am recommitted to not slacking!! I just know that there has been so much going on for all of you . . . I hope that everyone is doing well and having a great summer!

We have been busy here. Asher is keeping me on my toes now that he is home from school more. He always wants to go outside and play, or go here, and go there!! Sheesh, he has more of a social life then I do!! :) He is so dark too! I just worry that he is going to get skin cancer some day! On the other hand, there is our little albino, Myles. He turned one on June 13th! I cannot believe how fast the year went by! He is still not walking . . . and he still has NO teeth but I can wait.

He has been so patient with us this summer as we have worked on the yard. He has been strapped into his stroller a lot of the time because he just gets into everything! I am going to have to post a picture of our back yard. FINALLY, after living in this house for almost 4 years . . . we have finished our backyard!!!!! It took some pretty strong threats but I convinced Sterling that it was necessary. Now I feel like I can actually have a BBQ and invite some friends over. Do you all want to come!!?? :)

I have also been working on some designs for digital scrapbooking kits. Yes, I am hooked. I am going to open up a webpage with a store . . . going to try my hand as a designer. I am realizing though that it takes a TON of effort to get a website up and going . . . let alone creating the content for it. I might have to get some opinions from you guys when the time comes.

Also, as if I haven't been busy enough, I have started getting into these Artist Trading Cards. Kind of random, I know, but very cool. There is a group of about 30 of us that signed up on another blog a while back. What you do is create these little works of art (2.5 x 3.5 inches) and mail them to each other. It is so cool to see what everyone does . . . although I have to admit that I haven't actually received any in the mail yet!! I have made some though . . . so fun just to create.

I also tried my hand at traditional scrapbooking which I have never been very good at. I made these little brown paper bag books (as you can see in the picture above) with my friend. It was sooooo fun!!! . . . not to mention easy and cheap! We made the one in the picture for another friend of ours as a birthday gift. We put all of these quotes and things that we liked about her in it . . . along with pics of us together. I think that she liked it. Soooo, if any of you need an easy gift idea or something fun to make with your kids, there you go. You just staple the bags together and glue random papers and scraps to the pages. Voila!! :)

Well, sorry about the long journal entry!! I hope that I have not lost you all forever!! I hope that you will still come and visit my blog! :) I also hope that you are all doing well. I am going to start the long journey of catching up on your blogs.

Talk to you all later . . . .

Glad to see you again! We all have slumps, don't worry, we won't hold it against you. The trading cards sound fun, I'm not much of an artist though. Anyway, glad as is well...

Glad you're back! Your digital scrapbooking site sounds great. You won't know if you can do it until you try, right?

Hey! I've missed you!

That paper bag books is so pretty! You've really got artistic talent!

As for the kids - mine are the same - Nick is so dark right now, but Julian is our little albino. LOL. That's so funny.

Don't feel bad for not posting. It's probably healthier to have a life outside of blogging... but I'm not sure, since I don't have one. HA! ;)

Yayyy Zoe! So glad that you are back! I wondered where you had run off to the past couple of weeks.

That paperbag book is so darling. I would have loved it if a friend made that for me.

Do post some pictures of your backyard - I would love to see it!

I would write more but Tris just passed out in her seat. Gotta go put her to bed!
